Conservative Talk Show Host Set To Make Major Announcement

Sioux City, Iowa- The Holiday Inn, 701 Gordon Drive, Sioux City, Iowa, will be the location of a major announcement from radio talk show host Sam Clovis concerning his political future in the State of Iowa. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013, and is open to the public and the media. Press availability will follow immediately.

During his regularly scheduled “Coffee with Sam” tour, the conservative voice of KSCJ-AM and the Chair of Business & Economics at Morningside College will announce his intentions regarding the United States Senate seat currently held by Democrat Tom Harkin. Harkin will not stand for re-election in 2014 when the seat is to be contested.

When asked about the announcement, Clovis, a retired Colonel and former fighter pilot in the United States Air Force who holds a doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Alabama, had this to say: “I have done my due diligence in both prayer and counseling with friends and family and I believe it’s time to step up and announce my decision on my intentions for the United States Senate seat. I felt it was only fitting to make this decision amongst the folks who have followed my platform both on the radio and at other ‘coffee’ get-togethers over the years.”

The announcement event will follow its normal format of having free coffee located in the back of the conference room. After coffee, the attendees will take their seats, and Clovis will begin with brief monologue, then allow for a question and answer session. Clovis will then begin his speech and present his announcement.

Attendees should arrive early as event coordinators expect the room to fill up quickly in anticipation of the Clovis statement and announcement.
