Rand Paul says Romney will lead country out of “gloomy debt crisis”

Kentucky Senator Ron Paul spoke to Iowa Republican delegates this morning on Treasure Island, Florida (listen here and read the Radio Iowa story). He’s now speaking to all the delegates at the Republican National Convention and his focus at the beginning of his remarks is on ObamaCare.

“The whole damn thing is still unconstitutional,” he said. “…There’s only one option left. We have to have a new president.”

Toward the end of his remarks, Paul offered a full-throated endorsement for Romney.

“To lead us forward from this gloomy debt crisis, it will take someone who believes in America’s greatness…someone who understands and appreciates what makes America great….I believe that someone is our nominee, Governor Mitt Romney,” he said.
