Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum announced this morning that former Arkansas Mike Huckabee will perform in the Santorum tent at the Straw Poll in Ames this Saturday. Huckabee will “jam with The Crickets” according to Santorum’s staff. Herman Cain’s campaign announmced last night he and Huckabee would pair up for a musical bit in the Cain tent. Huckabee is allegedly going to stop by Tim Pawlenty’s Straw Poll party, too. Sarah Huckabee Saunders, Huckabee’s daughter (who works for T-Paw), tweeted about that.
Iowa Senator Tom Harkin, a Democrat, used the cover of Straw Poll mania to announce the “special guest” for his annual Streak Fry this fall. It’s Paul Begala.
