The Iowa Family Policy Center’s “Celebrate the Family” event this Sunday afternoon attracted a crowd of about 1500 to a church sanctuary in Des Moines. The Iowa Family Leader is a new, umbrella organization for the Iowa Family Policy Center, Marriage Matters (a subsidiary of IFPC which offers counseling to troubled couples), and IFPC’s PAC. Vander Plaats is the 2002, 2006 & 2010 Republican candidate for governor who led this year’s successful effort to oust three justices from the Iowa Supreme Court.
