James Q. Lynch of The Cedar Rapids Gazette covered a conference in the Chicago suburbs this week. Lynch wrote a story yesterday highlighting some comments made at the conference by an aide to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, a Republican candidate for president in 2008 who may be a Republican candidate for president in 2012.
Not only is the phrase “goat rodeo” in the story, but words like “mayhem” and “orderly” — plus there’s the ominous suggestion that Iowa’s Caucuses will be first “even if that means the caucuses are a year from now.”
Iowa’s 2012 Caucuses on Monday night, October 3, 2011? Or how about on the second Monday of October — Columbus Day?
