The new state fiscal year began July 1, 2010. Since it’s August 2, 2010, the data from one month of state tax collections has just been released.
Short version: Personal income tax collections were up 3.8 percent. State sales tax collections were down 7.2 percent, but there’s a processing issue, which you can read about by clicking on the link above.
