Branstad holds first news conference as GOP nominee

Terry Branstad, the newly-minted (or would that be re-minted?) GOP nominee for governor, held a news conference this afternoon in Ames after he spoke to the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s annual convention.  Read the Radio Iowa story about what Branstad told ABI and click on the mp3 at the bottom if you want to listen to his speech.

During the news conference, which was held in the hallway outside the ABI’s meeting room, Branstad discussed picking a lieutenant governor running mate.  He didn’t reveal much.  He also answered questions about other subjects, including today’s note of congratulations from the Iowa Family PAC.
