Former Iowa Congressman Fred Grandy (R-Sioux City native) ran for governor in 1994. Grandy narrowly lost the GOP primary to Terry Branstad. For the past few years Grandy has been co-host of “the Grandy and Andy Show” — a radio talk show. Word today that Grandy and Andy may soon to be out, part of a move to trim the salaries of highly-paid on-air staff.
Grandy was recently a guest on C-SPAN and had some interesting things to say. In January, Grandy told C-SPAN’s Brian Lamb he didn’t think he’d run for office again.
