Congressman Tom Latham (R-Ames, Iowa) was the guest on this past weekend’s “Iowa Press” on IPTV. He talked a bit about the “bickering” in Washington (a recurring theme for him). At the top of the show, he answered questions from AP’s Mike Glover about “FARM PAC” — Latham’s leadership PAC. FARM stands for “For A Republican Majority.” The Radio Iowa story includes Latham’s comments about that subject as well. Here are links to the two Harkin PACs Latham mentioned: To Organize A Majority PAC and the Independent Action PAC.
Rod Boshart of The Cedar Rapids Gazette wrote a story about Latham’s “Iowa Press” appearance which may be found online here (at The Quad City Times website, per a Gazette/Lee Enterprizes sharing agreement).
Latham addressed a variety of issues on the show, from the quandry about Afghanistan to plight of the nation’s pork industry. Latham also said he is “working toward” seeking reelection in 2010.
Governor Chet Culver is scheduled to be the guest for the Friday, October 16, 2009 edition of “Iowa Press.”
