Yesterday, I alerted you to an entry on Gordon Fischer's Facebook page. Fischer, as you may recall, is a Des Moines attorney who served as chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party from 2002-2004 and as co-chair of Obama's 2008 Iowa Caucus campaign. Today, another interesting tidbit on Fischer's Facebook page. Read it below:
Just FYI, I am permanently "retiring" from politics. I use italics b/c I've never held any paying job in politics, always a humble volunteer. It was a true honor to serve with fellow volunteers — those of us who endlessly knocked doors, made calls, donated $, etc. Together we made the dream of progressive politics in IA a present day reality. Thx to all for ur support over the years & best wishes for the future.
