Obama: “Let’s go to Iowa and make it official.”

The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner was held this weekend in D.C. and President Obama mentioned Iowa in his after-dinner remarks.

As a bit of background, Obama was mentioning well-known people who were in the room.  David Axelrod was a key advisor to Obama's campaign for the U.S. Senate and Axelrod was a top advisor to Obama's 2008 presidential campaign.  Axelrod is currently a senior advisor to the president.

"David Axelrod is here," Obama told the crowd.  "You know, David and I have been together a long time. I can still remember…I  tear up a little bit when I think back to that day when I called Ax so many years ago and said, 'You and I can do wonderful things together,' and he said to me the same thing that partners all across America are saying to one another right now: 'Let's go to Iowa and make it official.'"
