At 4:50 a.m., House Speaker Pat Murphy (D-Dubuque) may have explained the reason a legislative work day that started at 10 a.m. on Saturday is still ongoing at 4:50 a.m. on Sunday.
Murphy just advised House members an eagerly-awaited amendment would "soon" arrive. "It'll be about two minutes," Murphy advised, adding this caveat: "Legislative time."
UPDATE: A miracle! It was two minutes.
