"I think it's time that we move forward on some important bills that would help hard-working Iowans and we're going to keep fighting to do that," Governor Chet Culver said today during a telephone conference call with Iowa reporters.
Four union-backed bills are pending at the statehouse, including the "prevailing wage" bill which failed on a 49-49 vote in the House yesterday. This afternoon, Governor Chet Culver said he "absolutely" supports all four bills – in contrast to what he said publicly just two weeks ago
