IOWA DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR KIERNAN NAMES NEW INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR
DES MOINES – The Iowa Democratic Party Chair announced today that Micah Honeycutt will serve as the new Information & Technology Director.
“Information and data management is the backbone of a successful campaign apparatus and vital in retention of the Party's new registrants. This is the first step in building towards a new technology infrastructure. Micah has vast experience in this field having worked for both the Clinton and Obama campaigns over the last two years,” said Michael Kiernan, Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party. “We are lucky to have such a skilled IT Director join our team to help re-elect Governor Culver and the Democratic ticket. Micah will be a key asset heading into the 2010 general election cycle.”
Honeycutt, originally from Tennessee, worked previously for Hillary Clinton’s caucus campaign in Iowa, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Indiana and Colorado as Information & Technology Director. During the general election Honeycutt served as Midwest Sate Director for the Obama-Biden Campaign, where he oversaw data management operations in several states in the Midwest, including Iowa.
Micah joins Norm Sterzenbach, recently announced Executive Director, and the rest of the Iowa Democratic Party team in Des Moines.
