Your 10:30 p.m. update

The House has recessed for the night, without having started debate of the "prevailing wage" bill.  The plan now is to start debate at noon on Friday.

"Through no fault of our own, the legislative process just took a while to get things set to go, mechanically with the amendments," House Democratic Leader Kevin McCarthy of Des Moines just said in an interview a few moments ago.  "…By agreement of both parties, we're going to recess in a few moments until noon tomorrow, where then we have agreed to (debate) not to exceed five hours."
