The state central committee met this weekend and ratified Strawn's decision. The news release is below:
(DES MOINES) – Today the Republican Party of Iowa State Central Committee confirmed the appointment of Jeffrey R. Boeyink as Executive Director.
RPI Chairman Matt Strawn selected Boeyink for the position after conducting an extensive and thorough nationwide search.
“Jeff is not only a passionate believer in the principled conservative agenda of the Iowa GOP, he is a winner,” Strawn said. “Jeff brings instant credibility to the position with elected officials, county leaders and grassroots Republicans across the state.”
Boeyink's 20 year political career includes extensive experience in organizational development, public policy advocacy, and successful campaign management. He most recently served as President of Iowans for Tax Relief, the nation's largest state-based taxpayer watchdog organization.
“I am truly honored to join the Republican Party of Iowa and am absolutely confident we will build an organization that effectively promotes our message of growth, opportunity, and prosperity,” Boeyink said. “Our party is alive and well and we will be an effective voice for public policies and solutions that empower the individual, protect the family, and encourage job creation.”
A native of Marshalltown, Boeyink graduated from Central College in Pella (BA, Political Science) and holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Iowa State University.
