Election Eve early voting numbers for Iowa

Here are the latest early voting numbers, at the close of business on Monday, November 3, 2008, from the Iowa Secretary of State's office:

Absentee Ballots Received:              523,156

                            Democrats -            242,067

                            Republicans –         150,985

                            No Party -              129,791

                            Other -                         313

A total of 579,803 absentee ballots were mailed to Iowans.  If some procrastinator plans to mail their ballot, it must be postmarked with today's date (11/3/08) OR they may deliver it in person to their county auditor's office tomorrow (11/04/08), on Election Day OR they may take the absentee ballot with them to their polling place and surrender their absentee ballot to poll workers so they may cast a regular ballot.
