McCain misses favorite Fair foods

Republican presidential candidate John McCain visited the 2007 Iowa State Fair and during a speech today to fair goers, McCain laid out his fair food acquisition strategy.  "As soon as I finish here I’m going to try to have a pork-chop-on-a-stick and a deep-fried Twinkie," McCain said at the beginning of his speech at The Des Moines Register’s "Soap Box" on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

Alas, it was not to be.  "The lines were long and I hated, you know, to go before anyone, but I did have a fried Twinkie last year," McCain said in an interview with Radio Iowa this afternoon.
