Chelsea Clinton hits the trail with mom

The morning after bring-your-mom-to-work day, it is now bring-your-daughter-to-work day for Hillary Clinton.  Eighty-eight-year-old Dorothy Rodham made her campaign debut last night in Des Moines.  She stood silently on stage as her daughter relayed a story of a family trip to Iowa 53 years ago, then walked off stage to sit in the audience and listen to her daughter speak.

Today, HRC is due to make three appearances in Iowa — in Winterset, Williamsburg and Washington and the Clinton campaign has just announced (via email) that former First Child Chelsea Clinton will be joining her mother and grandmother.

All of this, of course, on the same day Oprah Winfrey, the first lady of tv talk shows, comes to Iowa to headline rallies for Barack Obama in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids.
