Here’s the latest news on an Iowa National Guardsman who is also a state legislator. This was sent out by House Democrats moments ago:
State Representative Ray Zirkelbach of Monticello, who is currently serving in Iraq, was scheduled to return at the end of March and be here for the end of the legislative session.
Last week, the Department of Defense announced that the 133rd Infantry (Iowa Army National Guard) will be staying in Iraq for extended duty up to August 2007.
