Albrecht to Romney

House GOP Leader Christopher Rants endorsed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney before teh November election.  Now, Tim Albrecht — Rants’ press secretary — is leaving to join Romney’s Iowa Caucus campaign.

Here’s the note Albrecht just emailed:

I am writing today to let you know that I have accepted a position with Mitt Romney’s presidential exploratory committee as his Iowa campaign spokesperson.  The move comes fully with Christopher’s blessing, and shortly my replacement will be named and I will assist that person with the transition, which will occur by the end of this month.

I have greatly enjoyed the past four years and have learned a significant amount from you, which has made this whole experience all the better. 

Thanks for providing me with such a great working relationship, and I look forward to building on that while on the Romney campaign!
