Governor Tom Vilsack’s communications director is leaving before Vilsack’s term is up on January 12. Mollineau sent an email to reporters today:
It has been a pleasure working with you over the last year. Through our interactions I have learned a lot about this state, the workings of state government and Iowa politics. It has been a memorable experience. I appreciate your patience with me, and I respect your work ethic and dedication to the public’s right to know. Your tenacity in pursuing an open government has made me a better communications professional.
I hope that I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with some of you again in one form or another. For now however, I am returning to Washington D.C. In January 2007 I will start my new job as Communications Director for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
I wish you all Happy Holidays and the best in 2007.
Sincerely
Rodell
