Grubbs & Failor in presidential mix

Earlier this week, Ed Failor, Junior announced he would no longer be working for New York Governor George Pataki.  Pataki lined up Failor and some other high-profile party conservatives to work for his PAC as it bankrolled some of the 2006 Iowa legislative races — with the understanding these conservative folks would never work to elect Pataki president.

Now, another interesting announcement about an eastern Iowa Republican.

(Davenport, IA) — Steve Grubbs, founder of Victory Enterprises, named Brian Dumas President of the company today.  Dumas has been with Victory Enterprises since December of 2000 and has served as Vice President since that time.

Dumas, a Davenport Alderman, will take the position of President December 1st and will play a larger role in managing the company in 2007.  Grubbs, who founded the company in 1997, will retain the title of CEO.

“Giving up some of my responsibilities at Victory Enterprises will give me more time to focus on the growth of our second company, VictoryStore.com.  This change will also free up additional time to focus on a presidential campaign during 2007,” said Grubbs.

“I expect Victory Enterprises to continue its focus on assisting candidates and campaigns, but it’s also in my plans to grow our corporate polling and research division in the coming two years,” said Dumas.

Dumas joined Victory Enterprises in 2000 after completing his role as executive director of state house and state senate legislative campaigns in Iowa.  He previously worked as Senator Grassley’s state organization director as well as roles in Lamar Alexander’s presidential campaign and the official office of Congressman Tom Latham.

Victory Enterprises is a full service advertising and public relations company which assists candidates, campaigns, non profits and corporate clients with their advertising, research and Internet needs.

Victory Enterprises provided media and consulting services to the Whalen for Congress and Northey for Secretary of Agriculture campaigns in the 2006 election cycle.

Steve and Kelli Grubbs own Victory Enterprises as well as VictoryStore.com, a promotional products company based in West Davenport.

The last time Radio Iowa listeners heard from Grubbs directly, he was talking about the movie he made.
