The Republican party insiders who met this evening have picked a Republican insider to be the GOP’s nominee for Secretary of State. Mary Ann Hanusa is a native of Council Bluffs who’s worked for Senator Charles Grassley. She’s been working in the Bush White House, but is returning to Iowa to spend the next 85 days running for statewide office.
