We just heard the pitter patter of wooden-shod feet on the marble floor outside the statehouse press room. The Pella Tulip Queen and her court are in the statehouse, bearing cookies. They’ll be formally greeted in the Iowa House and Senate this morning and they’ll distribute their cookies to legislators, staff and lobbyists, to promote the upcoming Pella Tulip Festival.
