The U.S. Census Bureau staged media events around the country today to highlight the upcoming census. You can listen to the news conference in Des Moines here by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
Potential 2010 gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Narcisse attended the news conference and asked 10 questions. Narcisse was not happy with the answers. After answering question #10, Rich Gerdes of the U.S. Census Bureau asked Narcisse: “Did that answer your question?”
“No,” Narcisse replied. Narcisse accused the Census Bureau of failing to have an ”Iowa-based plan” to ensure African-Americans aren’t “undercounted” in Iowa when the census commences in mid-March.
